After a Successful First Stage, What Awaits Students in the Second Round of Olympiads?

The International Olympiads is a renowned academic competition designed to challenge and showcase the intellectual prowess of students across various subjects.

The first stage of the competition which spanned across the thirty-six states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has been successfully conducted. Following the completion of this first stage, the focus now shifts to the eagerly anticipated second stage. This stage will be hosted at the National Mathematical Centre (NMC) in Abuja.

Qualification Criteria for the Second Round

From the result of the first round of competitions, qualified students are invited to write the second round. Participants earn their spot through exceptional performance in the first round. The best 20 students in each of the eight subjects per state and the FCT are invited to showcase their prowess at the National Mathematical Centre, NMC, Abuja for this round.

Being among the top 20 is a testament to academic excellence and it carries a lasting significance. However, the second stage focuses on theoretical questions, testing the depth of participants’ understanding.

Only the most qualified students progress, setting the stage for a highly competitive third round.
